they both have tons of farming options. Sins have Sf which make they invincible against many types of enemies. Eles on the other hand have Obby flesh and strong earth spells to make them indestructible. I personaly would make an ele but thats me. I think they have more options because they can have earth/fire magic up to 16 instead of sin that can only get 12. But sin can go a/me and use mesmer skills.
Pretty much pick what you want farming options are endless with the two classes. |

ele is more versitile,imo 'sin dosent compare,and SF will most likely be nerfed soon.
